FM Approved Clean Room

Global Seal of Approval: Puracore® Cleanroom System maintains its FM Approval

Every 6 months our Puracore Aluminium Honeycomb cored panels are audited to ensure the materials and specifications meet the standards set to achieve the FM Approval Standard 4882.

FM Approval Class 4882 is the standard for Class 1 Interior Wall and Ceiling Materials or Systems for Smoke Sensitive Occupancies.

We have once again passed the audit and our honeycomb panels which make up our high specification clean room system are FM Approved to the Class 4882. This continued success of our FM audits demonstrates Puracores consistency as a leading cleanroom manufacturer.

FM Approvals is the independent testing sector of FM Global, an international insurance carrier. The corporation uses technical research and testing to ensure products conform to the highest standards for safety and prevention of damage and property loss. Products that pass the audit get the “FM APPROVED” mark. A global seal of approval.

The FM Approved Puracore® Clean Room System can be specified and installed with complete confidence that it complies with highest of industry standards and as such can be specified where FM Approvals are essential.

Turned Box Panel

Puracore® Turned Box Panel and it’s Advantages

The Turned Box Panel is a panel with our aluminium box section frame turned through 90 degrees, at the junction where panels meet. These panels can be single long edge or have both long edges turned box depending on requirements. Single Turned box panels are utilised to form cleanroom corners of rooms whereas double turned box can be used to encase columns, supports, create air returns or change the wall panel orientation twice using a ‘Zed shape’.

The Turned Box Panel is unique to Puracore® and provides a number of key advantages.

Turned Box Panels can be used to construct corners of cleanrooms whilst reducing joints where panels meet. When compared to using individual corner panels the number of joints is reduced from two to one, providing a seamless external corner finish with fewer joints that may accumulate dust, dirt and bacteria.

Column encasements formed using Turned Box Panels removes the need to use separate corner panel elements. This can reduce the number of panels to form the encasement by 50%. The same applies when forming air returns in a cleanroom.

Selecting Turned Box Panels can reduce the number of panels and components required to construct a cleanroom corners and areas. Thereby reducing the cost of the materials and labour, by reduction in installation time.

Ultimately choosing Turned Box Panels in a cleanroom is more cost effective, time efficient, seamless and aesthetically pleasing.

Clean Room Lining Panels

Upgrade and expand your facility with FM Approved Puracore® Clean Room lining panels

The Puracore® clean room lining panel range is led by the 17.5mm and 10mm thicknesses. These FM approved panels feature an Aluminium Honeycomb Core giving a lightweight and rigid panel with a high impact resistance. The core of Aluminium Honeycomb means the panel is non-shedding, ideal for hygienic and controlled environments.

Puracore® lining panels are perfect for upgrades to existing facilities and can either be screwed or bonded onto structures allowing for an exceptionally easy and clean application. Allowing for time effective installation and eradicating the need for any wet trade work. The cleaner application means clean rooms may be able continue to operate whilst installation takes place.

– Reduced installation and labour costs compared to traditional building methods such as plasterboard.

– Superior chemical resistance with the correct skin.

– Excellent flatness – less likely to bow and absorb moisture like plasterboard.

– Impact on plasterboard can release particles into the clean room environment whereas aluminium honeycomb is non-shedding.

– Easier to repair – panels can simply be replaced or re-skinned.

– Greater life expectancy.

– Environmentally friendly for end of life disposal.

– Ability to expand and upgrade facilities to a higher classification of clean room.

– Flexible system for when layouts are changed and expansion required.

– Can be silicone sealed or chemically welded for a completely flush finish.
