Extensive clean room corridor for a global Semiconductor manufacturer

NXP Semiconductors are one of the leading manufacturers of high quality metal-oxide semiconductor field-effect transistors or MOSFETs for the automotive industry and a major player in supplying to computing, industrial and commercial markets.

Requirements for a clean room corridor

NXP Semiconductors required an internal clean room access corridor to connect two production areas at their existing facility. The long corridor that is used by staff and visitors is sloped and has a number of different levels, outlining the requirement for a number of different bespoke wall and ceiling panels.

Supply of cleanroom wall and ceiling panels

Puracore® supplied 80mm and 100mm PIR core, hygienic wall and ceiling panels for corridor, each individual panel was manufactured bespoke for the project to ensure they fit the varying elevations of the corridor and allow transition between different levels. Panels were faced with uPVC White food safe laminate to meet the controlled environment requirements.

As well as a flush system of wall panels and ceilings, Puracore® provided flooring, clamp frame hinged personnel doors and a number of vision panels.

Success of the project

The collaboration between Puracore® and Peter Lowe Construction resulted in a successful cleanroom project and a very satisfied customer. The 110m long corridor is used by staff and visitors to access production areas whilst maintaining a controlled environment between each section.

Peter Lowe from Peter Lowe Construction commented on the success of the project:

“It was a very successful collaboration. The product is very good and the customer is very happy with the result.”
